Jeanette has a BS in Zoology, a M.S. in Environmental Studies, and spent nearly six years working at the University of Florida Honey Bee lab, participating in apiary and lab management, research and extension activities. Jeanette is now the Pollinator Protection Specialist for the Florida Department of Agriculture, serving as a bridge between Apiary Inspection and Agricultural Environmental Services. Her duties include developing a state Managed pollinator protection plan (MP3), engaging with diverse stakeholder groups to ensure the protection of the honey bee, an important agricultural commodity, as well as native bees important for our environmental health.
