Seminar Location

FGCU Kapnick Center on the grounds of Naples Botanical Garden

Florida Gulf Coast University’s Kapnick Center, an education and research center forcused on wetland and aquatic systems research, is nestled in the north corner of the 170-acre Naples Botanical Garden. Native landscaping surrounds the facility and provides a natural backdrop for sponsors and attendees. Seminar classes will take place in the Buehler Auditorium. Networking lunches served on the patio.  Attendees will walk a short distance to the Garden for exclusive, expert guided garden walks focused on specific native trees, shrubs and herbaceous species.

A little more than half of the Naples Botanical Garden is set aside as native Southwest Florida habitat. The natural areas include 26 native species found in just one other collection and 35 species not known to exist in any other garden collection. The Garden is staffed with both horticulture and conservation professionals – a fabulous combination to inform the future of landscaping.
