Edible gardens are always popular — and useful. Learn to combine a love of growing your own food, foraging and using native plants.
Many of Florida’s native plants are edible — even some that are commonly used or found in landscapes have culinary value. This course presents the edible, medicinal and nutritional properties of some common native plants. The class will learn how to identify these plants, what parts are edible, ways to prepare and consume them, and how to use them in the landscape.
