Fritz Wettstein works in FDEP’s Coastal Construction Control Line Program to help protect the beach and dune system and conserve its wildlife. Fritz’s career includes work on wildlife reviews for development projects, coastal construction permits, Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary management, saltwater species, Florida State Parks and other programs. He’s a Florida native and has trained as a landscape architect and taught courses in coastal management and Florida natural communities on Tallahassee area campuses. Fritz has also served as a leader in conservation nonprofits, including as chapter president and board member of the Florida Native Plant Society.
