Educator
Laurie Albrecht is a University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) extension faculty member in the field of environmental horticulture. Her responsibilities for Palm Beach County include coordinating the Florida Friendly Landscaping™ and Native Canopy Education programs, as well as providing science-based landscaping solutions to commercial clients. Laurie has over six years of experience teaching science-based workshops on Florida native plants, including their identification, uses and relative storm resilience. Prior to working for the University of Florida, Laurie was a horticulture instructor at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, for over a decade.
